BBR (India) Pvt Ltd (BIL), a pioneer in Pre-stressing services in the country have completed more than a quarter century of fruitful companionship with the Indian construction industry. The Company was formally established as a specialized subcontracting company in the field of prestressing technology in 1977 by late Mr. Papa Reddy, an eminent engineer and a stalwart in the field of prestressing in India. From its humble beginning, BIL has grown into a dynamic and creative organization with experience in concept, design and execution of prestressing works and is committed to provide world-class quality services.
For the prestressing and stay cable applications, BIL has a licence agreement with BBR Group, which is recognized worldwide for its leading position in this field. The company has considerably widened its field of specialization from pure prestressing activities to more and more sectors of extensive special services for
construction engineering and has spread out to various parts of country with regional offices at New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and area offices at Hyderabad & Chennai. BIL attained ISO 9001:2008 certification for its
manufacturing and engineering services.
A modern and well equipped factory established in Bangalore produces Anchorages, POT-PTFE Bearings, equipment and Accessories. The factory is equipped with latest testing facilities for materials and anchorage systems.

prestressing systems and construction techniques have been deployed in various structures such as bridges, buildings, towers, marine installations, storage tanks, ground anchors etc. As a leading specialized technology partner, BIL is proud to be involved in a number of firsts in the country such as,

- First Segmental flyover in India (Sirsi Circle Flyover, Bangalore)

The main advantages of post-tensioned flat slabs over conventional reinforced concrete slabs are :
• Increased clear spans
• Thinner slabs
• Reduced cracking and deflections
• Increased headroom
• Lesser rebar consumption
• Faster shuttering and deshuttering
• Lighter structures
• Better water-tightness
• Better response to temporary overloading
Bonded cables with flat duct are particularly suitable for thin construction elements such as slabs in buildings and deck slabs in bridges (transverse prestressing) where the forces to be applied are moderate. The flat duct increases the static depth and the bond offers a higher capacity in ultimate stage design.
BIL offers
• Comprehensive design and execution support for the construction of PT (posttensioned) slabs and beams
in buildings
• The BBR FLAT - a bonded post-tensioning system particularly suitable for thin construction elements such
as slabs in buildings and deck slabs bridges (transverse pre-stressing)

• Licence of Proceq for NDT equipments
• Injection technology and EPS solutions
• Seismic retrofitting of structures
